Trustees

For sixteen years Jo worked within the Work Based Learning arena, undertaking a variety of roles and responsibilities as Trainer and Assessor, Internal Verifier and Training Manager. 

In February 2007, she joined Rochdale Borough Council’s then 14-19 Team as their Development Officer, working with a range of key partners across Rochdale to support the implementation the 14-19 Strategy and managed all work in relation to Careers Education Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and the Raising of the Participation Age (RPA) , commissioning Rochdale Borough’s Young People’s Support and Guidance provider, whom she still works closely with today.  Jo also works with colleagues at Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the other 9 Greater Manchester Local Authorities, to ensure the CEIAG/RPA Strategy and Priorities are developed, delivered and sustained. 

Jo’s current role as Inclusion Lead Officer keeps her busy!   The Inclusion team at the Council leads on areas which include Attendance and Safeguarding, Fair Access, School Enforcement and Raising Participation. Jo works with all Primary and Secondary Head teachers and their staff across the Borough of Rochdale on a myriad of Inclusion work.

In her spare time, Jo is a School Governor, sits on the board of a local Training Provider and is part of an amateur dramatics society. 

She is really pleased to have been asked to join the Board of Trustees as she  passionate about ensuring children and young people across the borough aspire and achieve their full potential.
